The report meeting of the 2014 Stepping into Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, a summer vacation social practice organized by School of Foreign Languages, Southeast University, was held on September 19th, 2014 at Zhongshan Academy. Tang Dinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Foreign Languages, Ren Qing, Director of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Zhang Peihua, Head of Social Education Department of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and some teachers from School of Foreign Languages were present over the meeting, examining the achievements of the intern group for the last four weeks.
The cooperation between our school and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall at Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum internship base has lasted for 11 years. Thoughtful arrangements for this social practice were made, including a fairly high demand for the members of the intern group.
The report meeting was planned by all the six intern group members and Xu Lu, a year 2011 English major student, presided over the meeting. The whole meeting consisted of three parts, exhibitions of the students’ intern life (translation, rubbing, visits to sights and introducing Sun Yat-sen Exhibition Hall), singing a recomposed song based on the students’ intern experience, and a video review. At the end of the reports, both Ren and Tang made a speech. Tang affirmed the achievements of the intern group and the unique planning of the reports. He also expressed the hope that the sound cooperative relations between our school and the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum practice base would continue.
The report meeting was winded up under a casual and delightful atmosphere, which also marked the successful end of the 2014 Stepping into Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.
